Silence vs. noise

I'm an introvert, unless I'm around my friends and then I can be pretty talkative. At work though, I'm introverted. This is a bit of a problem, since one of our employees is a rather loud mouth and really doesn't let anyone get anything said. It drives me crazy, she talks all the time, exaggerates about everything, and is always overly dramatic and then gets a little pissed off when someone can actually get something said between her breaths.

Why are some people like that? Why can't they respect the people that like to be quiet and would rather stay inside their own mind?

That drives me insane too. People act like it's wrong not to flap your jaw 24/7.

Yeah, I always get the "Smile, say hello to them."

and now my fave from my mom. I had a person move in to the duplex apartment next to me. I get all the time, "You would have more friends if you get out and say something. Go over when there is a party going on and invite yourself."

Umm no, I'm happy here... keeping to myself.

I'm not sure how crashing someone's party is supposed to gain you friends.

Because my mother doesn't think sometimes. She complains about me not using my logic and my brain when she doesn't even use her own.

Wow, i'm glad she is gone then for your sake.

What annoys me so much about this lady is that she had a heart attack two years ago and she is always talking about it every chance she can get. It just really annoys me to no end that she has to tell everyone about it. She also exaggerates a lot and in turn lies a little bit to get herself ahead of everyone. For instance, my mom, who is also our boss, had heart fluttering issues this last year and this lady went around town and told everyone that she also had a heart attack like her. There is a major difference between the two problems and she doesn't seem to understand that, even when we have all told her to not tell people that mom had a heart attack.

Sorry i'm just bitching now, but this was just something I had to vent about and get off my chest.

Yeah, she likes to stir up a lot of drama that just doesn't need to happen. Right now she is having a field day with my parent's divorce.

Wow, a danger like that at work is a pretty serious thing.

I'm fearing the day that my mom has to leave for foot surgery and she is going to be gone for at least six weeks while in recovery for it. And as far as her quitting, she has already put us in a bind. She goes on all the time with how no one will hire her since she has heart problems and she is old.... ummm she is 47. I know lots of people that have moved on with the same condition as her.

I can't wait for July, when I can have a two week vacation.. I need one.

I think many extroverted people think out loud, whereas we introverted people figure things out in our heads. As annoying as that is to me, I try to keep that in mind whenever I start to feel irritated or annoyed with people who constantly talk. That's the way they figure out the world. It's not my way, but I try to be as open-minded as possible. Not sure if this helps anyone, but it works for me, so I wanted to share it.

Also, some people are just plain Narcissists. They do anything and everything to keep the attention focused on themselves, even if it's negative attention.

I try to avoid or not engage people like that, if possible.
